So you haven't checked your iPhone in a while and when you do, you're presented with a list of notifications, one of which is of special interest while the others can wait. But when you slide your iPhone open, the notification list disappears and you have to pull down notification screen and hunt through a list of prior notices to find the one you want to give immediate attention to. If you have a particularly long list, it might take you awhile to locate it.

There's a way to save yourself some time, however. Instead of using the main slider to open your phone, place your finger on the icon of the notification you want to view and 'slide to read.' You'll be taken directly to the notification in question without the need to view your entire list.
