About Jim McKinniss:
I have been involved in science and technology for the last 27 years. My professional background has been in mathematics and database design. Like many photographers, I have boxes of vacation snapshots. But about 4 years ago, I decided to get serious about photography and took some classes at a community college. Subsequently, I have stopped working and now enjoy the freedom to travel and take photographs. Seeking out images is such a thrilling adventure. My reward from photography is the enjoyment I receive from viewing my images and knowing that I saw the scene and was able to capture it. If others appreciate my work that is a bonus.
