About Penelope Bonnar:
I've always had a camera (beginning with a Brownie many years ago) and became a serious camera user as a small-town newspaper editor (with my trusty EOS ELAN II). I bought my first digital, a little Canon A70, in 2004 and loved it. But in the process, I discovered that I got lazy. Last year, my kids got me the Rebel XT for my birthday and I am relearning and learning anew. My camera goes everywhere I go. I am hooked and am totally interested in becoming a better photographer. I'm also a dedicated genealogist and spend a lot of time photographing gravestones as both the family historian and as a findagrave.com volunteer. In real life, I'm a copy editor and still occasionally write a story.
