About Donald Jones:
I've been dabbling over 20 years. Thought about getting serious 5 years ago. Bought first dslr 3 years ago. I'm an associate minister, husband, father, industrial craftsman and try to work out 3 times a week. So I don't have very much time to invest in photography, as one would who wants to better himself. I have been spending too much time looking for more equipment on Ebay when I should be experimenting and learning what I can. I'm here because I don't want to produce the ordinary shots boring shots. I'm very impressed by what I see others doing here and elsewhere. Hopefully I can learn a few trade secrets to get to the next level. I do the usual things like recording family events, public events and have done a small number of weddings for acquaintances. I don't travel much, so my exposure is limited to local surroundings and happenings here in mostly sunny SC. I'll probably copy this and post it as a "hello" to the group.
